Camiguin is known to have white sand beaches, cold and hot springs. Coming here is so easy by plane if you wish to travel from Cebu City, and if you're an adventurous type like me and you wanted to travel by Land just like what we did, here is my guide for you.
If you're coming from Davao City you can ride a bus at Ecoland Transport Terminal from there going to Cagayan de Oro City, upon reaching CDO go to Agora Bus Terminal and look for a bus going to Balingoan Port, it takes 3hours to reach the destination. I suggest to manage your time and leave as early as possible, perfect weather and ferry ride until 5pm should be considered.
Upon reaching Balingoan Bus Terminal you can ride tricycle for 10pesos going to Balingoan Port.
Get a ticket for less than 200pesos from Balingoan Port to Benoni Port. (Fare might be changed)
Tips: For travelers coming from Manila, there is no direct flight going to Camiguin, flight will be from Manila to Cebu then to Camiguin via connecting flight or by your own arrangement.
We rode a multicab upon reaching the port going to where we stayed, but there's a lot of transportation you can ride with.
This is a Sunken Cemetery which is the remains of Mount Vulcan 1871 eruption lies 20 ft underwater in Barrio Bonbon, Catarman, Camiguin, Philippines.
A remains of an old church.
One of the highlights of Camiguin, their Cold Spring, literally Freezing water :D
Cold spring with a very clear water flowing in.
And their hot spring. :) Of course, better to go there at night to relax.
TIP: You can bring your own foods since it is night time.
Along the way, you can have a view of this falls. You can swim right there if you wish and it's safe.
Summer is approaching, so plan your vacation now! Enjoy and have fun!
CAMIGUIN IS HEART! :)
